While all Pennsylvania online casinos are available via web-based browsers on your laptop or desktop, nearly all are also accessible on mobile devices as an online casino app. These Android and iOS (Apple) apps are free to download and in many respects feature the same functionality as the web-based versions of the online casino. Play PA online casino games for real money The number of Pennsylvania online casinos is now in double-digits. All of the PA casino apps are available 24/7 and offer online slots, video poker, and table games such as roulette, blackjack, and baccarat. Use this table to compare the real money casinos in PA.

Pennsylvania online casinos are compatible with iPhones and iPads. Assuming you own one of these Apple products, then you can enjoy legal online casino games in PA.

In most cases, Pennsylvania mobile casinos are nearly or just as good as the desktop versions. They offer plenty of games and user-friendly interfaces.

The following guide will help you get the most out of your gambling experience at PA iPhone and iPad casinos. It also discusses how you can get the best bonus deals in the market.

Download PA online casino apps

Unlike Google Play, the App Store allows real-money gambling apps. Therefore, you can download Pennsylvania iPad and iPhone casino apps directly from the App Store—rather than only through casino websites.

If you download iOS apps through our site with the proper bonus codes, you’ll receive the best bonus deals possible.

Once you visit a casino’s website, you should look for the iOS button. You’ll be taken to the App Store upon selecting the prompt.

Assuming you’ve downloaded iOS apps before, then you won’t have any trouble with the process of getting PA casino apps.

Register & enter bonus code

After downloading an app, you need to complete registration to become a member. The registration process involves filling in various pieces of information, including your name, email, date of birth, and phone number.

Pennsylvania casinos also ask for a bonus code during the registration process. You must enter this code if you want to qualify for the welcome bonus.

Again, you can get the best PA online casino bonuses by visiting casinos through our links and using the proper codes.

You must be within state lines to gamble

Pennsylvania allows you to legally complete registration at their mobile casinos from anywhere. However, you must be within the Quaker State’s borders before placing real bets.

Each gaming site is required to use geolocation software to determine your location. This software isn’t 100% accurate, but it’s reliable for the most part.

You can contact customer support at the relevant casino if you’re experiencing geolocation issues. Such problems usually occur when you’re near state borders.

What to expect from PA iPad and iPhone casino apps

Pennsylvania online casinos feature more games on the desktop versions than mobile apps. However, they’ve done a good job of balancing the game selection between both mediums.

You can look forward to dozens of slots and plenty of table games at the average PA iPhone casino. Pennsylvania mobile gaming sites also let you play free games after registering for an account.

Each casino has also done well to provide a smooth interface and user-friendly lobby. You can quickly access the menu and find what you’re looking for with any PA gaming app.

Which Pennsylvania online casinos offer iOS apps?

The Keystone State’s internet gaming market is still in its early stages. However, three casinos are already compatible with iOS.

Here’s a breakdown of the current situation:

  • Unibet Casino – Unibet features a PA casino app in the App Store.
  • Hollywood Casino – Hollywood also boasts an iOS casino app.
  • PlaySugarHouse Casino – This gaming site is compatible with iPhones and iPads, but it doesn’t feature an app.

Regarding the latter, you must download GeoGuard from GeoComply to get started at PlaySugarHouse online.

GeoGuard locates your iPhone or iPad and ensures that you’re within state lines. Assuming you’re in Pennsylvania, you’ll be able to gamble at PlaySugarHouse through your internet browser.

Games on Pennsylvania mobile casinos

Several prominent software developers provide games to PA mobile casinos. Barcrest, High5, IGT, NetEnt, and WMS are among the best-known providers in the market.

Below, you can see more on the major categories of games that these developers offer.

Slots

Slots easily comprise the bulk of Pennsylvania’s mobile gaming market. They’ve already proven highly popular among the state’s gamblers.

NetEnt slots are doing particularly well in the Quaker State. These games largely offer the best graphics and features.

NetEnt’s Divine Fortune is the most-popular progressive mobile slot. One Pennsylvania resident hit a Divine Fortune jackpot worth $377k.

Blackjack

Online blackjack has long been popular thanks to its low house edge and strategic play. The same pattern holds true at PA iOS casinos.

The average online blackjack game in the market features a 0.5% house edge. This house advantage is anywhere from 100% to 200% lower than what’s seen in Pennsylvania’s land-based casinos.

Roulette

Roulette is the second-most-popular mobile table game behind blackjack. Most gaming sites offer American, French, and European roulette.

You may also find other unique variations, depending upon the casino. Such games offer a refreshing break from the traditional version.

Video Poker

Each Pennsylvania online casino boasts multiple video poker variations. In some cases, you can enjoy up to 10 games at a single casino.

Jacks or Better is the most-popular online video poker variant in PA. The full-pay version (9/6 Jacks or Better) offers 99.54% RTP.

Are Pennsylvania iOS casino apps safe?

Each gaming site holds licensing with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). The PGCB thoroughly vets each applicant before approving and licensing them.

Furthermore, the PGCB ensures that each operator follows state gaming laws. Any operator that runs faulty games and/or treats customers unfairly could be subject to a huge fine.

Rogue casinos stand to lose their license along with millions of dollars in wasted fees. Long story short, you can have full confidence when gambling real money at instate mobile casinos.

How to get a PA online casino bonus

The Pennsylvania mobile gambling market boasts several great welcome bonuses. Some deals only consist of a deposit bonus while others offer both a deposit and no-deposit bonus.

The process for obtaining bonuses differs based on the type of offer you’re dealing with. In any case, you should always enter the proper bonus code during the registration process.

PA casino no deposit bonuses

You need only register for an account to qualify for a no-deposit deal. Once approved, you’ll receive the no-deposit funds.

  • 10 x 20 = $200 must be wagered
  • You have $15 after meeting wagering requirements.
  • You can withdraw this $15 or keep playing with it.

PA casino deposit bonuses

These bonuses require you to deposit before receiving the funds. Certain deposit methods (e.g. Neteller) may not qualify for deposit bonuses at a given casino.

After depositing, you must satisfy T&Cs to withdraw the bonus. Here’s an example:

  • A gaming site is offering a 100% match deposit bonus worth up to $250.
  • You deposit $150.
  • You’re now qualified for a $150 bonus.
  • Wagering requirements are 20x.

Map of existing Pennsylvania casinos

Many of these casinos will be involved in the online casino market too. Let’s take a look at the properties with online gambling plans:

SugarHouse Casino

Online

Rivers Casino Philadelphia (formerly SugarHouse Casino) is owned and operated by Rush Street Gaming. The Illinois-based casino company also owns and operates Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh.

PlaySugarHouse.com launched in NJ in September 2016. Since that time, it has developed a reputation for employing user-friendly proprietary software, uniquely structured bonuses, and a large game library. Additionally, SugarHouse launched online and mobile NJ sports betting on the site in August 2018. The casino introduced a Pennsylvania betting app in May 2019, then followed with an online casino app in July 2019.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course

Penn National Gaming’sHollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course has brought on IGT to provide a full suite of digital gaming products, including the platform, and services for the HollywoodCasino.com PA online casino site. The PA online casino runs under IGT’s PlayCommand digital gaming platform.

Additionally, Penn National has inked a deal with NetEnt to give HollywoodCasino.com access to NetEnt’s proprietary online casino game library of over 200 games.

Hollywood Online Casino was the first online casino in PA, launching in July 2019.

Parx Casino

Parx Casino in Bensalem inked a deal with UK online gambling software designer GAN to launch PA online casino operations together. The site started taking action in July 2019.

Parx and GAN have employed sports betting tech from provider SBTech for its Parx PA sports betting platform which launched in June 2019.

Harrah’s Philadelphia

Harrah’s Philadelphia applied for and received a $10 million PA Interactive Gaming Certificate to operate online slots, online table games, and online poker. It just has yet to launch any of those products. Nor has the property started online sports betting. It should start offering online sites in all categories at some point in 2020.

It is a Caesars Entertainment property. The company’s online division, Caesars Interactive Entertainment, already runs online poker site’s in Nevada and New Jersey. Plus, it also has various online casino sites in New Jersey that offer slots and table games. In fact, it already runs an NJ online casino site under the Harrah’s name in NJ.

HarrahsCasino.com employs 888’s Dragonfish online casino software platform. However, Caesars also employs the NYX Open Platform System on at least one NJ online casino site. It remains to be seen which it will use in PA.

Online poker will run under the WSOP.com brand and employ the same 888 software Caesars uses in NJ and Nevada.

Valley Forge Casino and Resort

Valley Forge Casino and Resort was not the first to launch an online sportsbook, but once it opened up FanDuel Sportsbook online in PA, it was just a month or two before the site solidified itself as the market leader.

FanDuel is running away with the sports betting market. However, Valley Forge’s online casino, VFCasino, is still waiting to launch. The casino has all of the PGCB approvals and a partnership with FanDuel’s online casino arm, Betfair, so expect a launch sometime in 2020.

Presque Isle Downs & Casino /BetAmerica

The PGCB granted a license to operate online slots and table games to the new owner of Presque Isle Downs & Casino, Churchill Downs.

In 2019, Churchill Downs agreed to terms with sports betting and iGaming software supplier SBTech to roll out SBTech’s online gambling and sports betting software platform Chameleon360 across the US together.

The partnership produced the online sportsbook BetAmerica in December 2019, but the online casino product is still waiting in the wings.

Mohegan Sun Pocono / Unibet

The PGCB has approved the Mohegan Sun Pocono application for online slots and online table games and allowed it to drop its plans to launch online poker as well.

Mohegan Sun’s online gambling software partner is Unibet, a well known public company in Europe that has filed for similar online gambling licenses in New Jersey.

The Kindred Group is the owner of the Unibet brand and operates Unibet online casino. as well as Unibet Sportsbook, both of which launched in November 2019.

Mount Airy Casino Resort / PokerStars and FOX Bet

Mount Airy Casino Resort is the only PA casino with every online product launched and running in the state. The casino operates FOX Bet Sportsbook as well as the PokerStars PA online poker client and PokerStars Online Casino.

Wind Creek Bethlehem

The property formerly known as Sands Bethlehem is now fully in control of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Now that Wind Creek is under new ownership, the casino is doing a 180 on Sheldon Adelson’s harsh anti-online gambling stance.

The new management put in an application for sports betting in addition to its online casino and poker licenses. However, the property has yet to offer any insight on potential partners for those endeavors.

Taking a pass

The PA casino properties not applying for online gambling licenses in PA are all owned and operated by casino companies getting into PA online gambling through another property. This list includes:

  • Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin (Churchill Downs)
  • The Meadows Racetrack and Casino ( Penn National Gaming)
  • Rivers Casino (Rush Street Gaming)
